A local resident was walking his dog on a public footpath, when she ran off into the undergrowth in woodland belonging to the Estate. The dog didn't return when called, but when he heard her panting he was able to locate her. The dog was found with a snare around her neck. The 'stop' appeared to be faulty and hadn't prevented the noose from closing dangerously tight, but the dog's owner managed to free her quickly enough to prevent her from being harmed. No ID tags were visible on the snare. Type of snare Wire/illegal Where Roxburghe Estate, Scottish Borders When August 2023 Video evidence Manage Cookie Preferences
